Sometimes you don’t have the option of health insurance through your job. Maybe your employer doesn’t offer it, or you’re self-employed. Or maybe you’re between jobs.

Regardless, I help individuals and families find their own coverage. While options have decreased, I am proficient at helping people navigate those options, whether through Marketplace/ObamaCare or in getting a short term plan through BlueKC or through UHC. I’ve been an Elite Agent with the marketplace Circle of Champions since they created the designation in 2020.

Here’s a couple ways to get your insurance figured out.

1. Work directly with me.

This is what most of my clients do, and I prefer it. I learn your situation and collect the information to get quotes, check and see if you qualify for lower rates, and make sure that the plans have your doctors and hospitals in network. I don’t charge for this, and it saves you a lot of time and hassle.

When you’ve chosen a plan, I get the enrollment submitted, and then am available to handle or assist with any service needs that arise, whether with the insurance company or with the marketplace.

You can use my scheduling app to request a phone call, zoom meeting, or in person appointment, or contact me here.

2. Handle it yourself, but have Nate as backup.

Some of my clients want to keep their personal information private, and I don’t blame them. They feel fairly confident in their ability to navigate the plans on their own – but they want someone to help if things go poorly. To do that, they just have to tag me as their agent during the enrollment process, and then I can represent them the same as if I had done everything from the beginning.

If you’re one of these people, then you can search plans and enroll yourself on the marketplace using this link, and I’ll be included as the agent on your application. This QR code will allow you to do the same.

HealthSherpa links to the marketplace, but allows you to do everything with a site built by professionals, rather than healthcare.gov which was essentially built by the DMV.

If you’re already set, but want help for next year, then subscribe for my open enrollment reminder emails.

At the start of open enrollment (November 1st through December 15th), I send out an email to all my clients reminding them that it’s time to evaluate next year’s options. To get on that list, go here. And don’t worry! This isn’t a spam list – I only send out one or two emails a year.

Best of luck with all your insurance needs!
